A couple of weeks ago, Dennis Good and I launched Pixel jocks. It is a new service for businesses looking for an affordable web site with no hidden costs. Because of how we set things up, we can have a site up and running in just a couple of days. Hosting is included for the yearly investment of $500. We also have three add-ons for Events, News and Photo Galleries each priced at $50 a year.

The entire site uses a custom content management system (CMS) that was specifically created for Pixel Jocks. The CMS includes everything needed to keep your site updated but none of those complicated features that you never use or need.

If you’re a new business needing a web site or looking for a microsite for a new product you’re launching, take a look at Pixel Jocks and see what we can do for you.

I worked with Scott Weber of Weber/Design on the David Rausch Studios web site. Scott did all the design work and I created a custom CMS for managing the home page slider images as well as the Project pages.

For the Tronitech web site, Dennis Good of D.Good Design Co. and I worked together. Using their existing logo, Dennis created the header images.

On my end, I took their existing site and cleaned up the layout and information architechture and helped them with a marketing strategy for the monthly Newlsetter. Along with that, I designed and coded their email templates and they are using Campaign Jockey to send their Newsletter and manage their subscribers.

Both projects were interesting and challenging and I’m thankful for the opportunity.

The site is a custom CMS with an MS SQL database on the back-end to store all site data. It has a blog (called “Recent News”) and Photo Gallery that utilizes jQuery and Thickbox.

Starting in 2010, they plan on sending a quarterly Newsletter.

Thanks go to Yvonne, Shannon, Lincoln and Rodney for the opportunity!!
